A TWO-year exchange between a Worcestershire school and one in Zambia has kicked off.
Zambia 10/11 is Pershore High School’s second ambitious two-year pupils exchange project with Lubuto High School.
The aim of the exchange – which is supported by the Drakes Broughton Football Club, who have donated football kit – is to enhance young people’s understanding of life and culture in very different countries, preparing them as global citizens. The programme follows on from the life changing experiences of the successful 2008/2009 exchange. It will involve six Pershore High School sixth-form pupils and three teachers visit Zambia for two-and-a-half weeks over Easter.
IntroZambia, who helped initiate the link, will help with organising the trip, and it is hoped that pupils from Lubuto High School will visit Worcestershire in June or July 2011.
