PUPILS at Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College were inspired to stay on in education thanks to a visit by the Impact Theatre Company.
As part of the Aim Higher programme, a special performance was held in front of Year Eight pupils to encourage them to stay on in training, or further or higher education.
The performance took the form of an entertaining show, which gave youngsters the chance to consider if staying on in education would be the best option for them.
Sean Devlin, principal of the college, said the event went very well.
He said: “The whole aim of this is get children to think earlier and about the importance of staying in education.”
The performance also aims to make pupils think about the choices they will make at GCSE level.
Mr Devlin said: “It’s a continuing programme, in conjunction with Aim Higher.
“There was a very good response from the pupils.”
Blessed Edward Oldcorne College caters for students from the ages of 11 to 16.
