WORCESTERSHIRE schools are signing up to a programme that will get more children into the kitchen.
Let’s Get Cooking is a fiveyear lottery-funded programme that teaches people basic kitchen skills.
A total of 25 schools in the county, including Great Malvern Primary, Somers Park Primary in Malvern, Upton Primary, Stourport High School, Suckley Primary School and Evesham High School have signed up to the national programme. Under the scheme, schools and community groups can set up a Let’s Get Cooking club, which in return receives funding for equipment and running costs. Schools looking for more information about Let’s Get Cooking should visit letsgetcooking.org.uk or call 01905 728905.
Above: Thomas Bushell and Lisa Hopcutt, both aged eight, and Nathan Baldwin, nine, enjoy cooking at Great Malvern Primary School.
