DROITWICH Spa Wildcats Girls Under 13s moved to the top of the Mercian Festival Junior League with a fine 7-1 victory over Redditch United Jewels.
Wildcats produced their best display of the season with Lucy Loach, Abbie Wallis and Georgia Howells outstanding in midfield.
Imogen Alps scrambled in an early goal and Charlotte Tyrer added four in the firsthalf with Mollie Winch providing a consolation.
The hosts played good passing football in the second period and Bobbie Dutton increased the lead after fine wing-play from Pavita Rai before Tyrer sealed the victory with her fifth goal.
In the boys’ section, Brandon Beasant bagged a treble as Northside Tigers beat much-improved Kempsey Colts 6-0 in Division Two.
Tigers opened the scoring with a fine drive from playerof- the-match Harry Taylor.
They were four goals up by half-time as Beasant swooped twice, including a penalty after Jordan Wise was fouled, and Luke Obrey finished off Macauley Johnson’s cross.
Beasant completed his hattrick in the second period and Taylor completed his brace of goals with a header from a Ross Joyner corner.
