A FOUR-hour dodgeball-athon has been held at a Worcester school to raise money for a heart charity.
Dodgeball was played at Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College by pupils who were sponsored by friends and family.
Money raised will go towards the British Heart Foundation – a charity the school has been supporting for the past four years.
Headteacher Sean Devlin said: “We have raised money for a few years for the charity, and as well as this we offer education for our pupils in year 10 in first aid and CPR, which is vital for them to learn.
In the past we have had skipathons so this year, in order to create new interest in the fundraising, it was decided to do dodgeball.”
Mr Devlin said it was not yet known how much was raised, but they were hoping to reach more than £1,000.
“It is really important for them to raise money for the BHF and also to know first aid. I’m really proud of their efforts, and also of the PE department, especially Lottie Keys the PE teacher who organised the event,” he said.
