Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum

Saturday, February 13 – With lots of Love!

10.30am – 12.30pm for families.
Come along to Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum to make some hearty decorations! Using clay, make some heart shape motifs, which you can stamp with the initials of your loved one.

Create ‘heart mice’ cards and a paper chain of hearts to decorate your home, and finish with a Family Valentine for your table!

Booking essential. Cost: £6.50 adult / £4.50 child

Wednesday, February 17 – Meet Our Feathered Friends!

10.30am – 1.30pm (free event, no booking required)

The exhibition about the Museums Bird Collection is coming to a close. But before it does, a number of stunning live birds are visiting our gallery. Saul Tyrrell from Worcester will be bringing along some wonderful birds from his collection for you to get close to, including a South American Harris Hawk, a Bengal Eagle Owl, a European Eagle Owl and a Common Barn Owl. All of these stunning creatures in the Museum and Art Gallery for one morning only, so it’s your chance to learn more about them!

To add to the fun, you can make your own ‘Beaky Bird’ mobile to take home! This is a free drop in workshop – no booking required.

The Activity Space

Based in the heart of the Museum and Art Gallery, the Children’s Activity Space is a lovely bright and welcoming place for all the family. Use the materials provided to create your own masterpiece and just sit and watch the children have fun!

This weekend you can make a bug box to take home with you, and you can become a Nature Detective by going minibeast spotting around the park. Our favourite funny man will entertain you with his balloon magic and silly jokes. 1pm - 5pm. FREE.

Funtastic Fantasy Faces

Children can become anything or anyone they want, from fairies, to animals to superheroes. 1pm - 5pm. £2.50 per child

Children’s Fair Rides

Have fun on some favourite rides for youngsters. 11am - 4pm. £1.50 per ride (this activity is weather dependent)

Have a go at our Mud Safari – an exciting and messy walk through Ragley's woodlands on the hunt for Wildlife – don’t forget your wellies!

Visit the outdoor classroom and learn how to build a fire and toast marshmallows, come along to the craft tent and make bird feeders, fairy gardens and animal masks. Plus demonstrations from the Animal Woman and RSPB.
