Good Friday, April 2 - Easter Monday, April 5 (bank holiday) - Easter Events from English Heritage in the West Midlands


AS spring finally arrives, English Heritage is hosting a series of Easter events at its sites throughout the West Midlands. Here's what you can get up to over the Easter weekend:

Easter Bunny Trail - Goodrich Castle, near Ross on Wye

Come and join the fun at Goodrich Castle with our Easter Bunny Trail. Just like Alice's white rabbit, our bunnies are keeping very important dates - hunt round the castle to find the eight bunnies and all eight key dates from Goodrich Castle's history, and claim your delicious chocolate treat!

Admission prices are £5.50 for adults, £4.70 for concessions, £2.80 for children and £13.80 for a family ticket (two adults and up to three children). English Heritage members get in free. The event runs from 10am - 5pm.

Easter Family Fun Trail - Stokesay Castle, near Ludlow

From Good Friday to Easter Monday, the castle will be hosting its traditional Easter Trail, with younger visitors invited to find a series of special Easter-themed rhyming clues that will be hidden around the site. If they can decode the hidden clues, they can claim a small chocolate prize!

Admission prices are £5.50 for adults, £4.70 for concessions, £2.80 for children and £13.80 for a family ticket (two adults and up to three children). English Heritage members get in free. The event runs from 10am - 5pm.

Easter Bunny Trail - Witley Court and Gardens, near Worcester

It is Easter time at Witley Court and the bunnies are back!!!

Are you good at solving rhymes and finding things? If so Witley needs you! Set in beautiful landscaped woodland the Easter Bunny hunt is ideal for getting out and about this Easter. Should you be clever enough to locate all the bunnies you will be rewarded with a sweet treat!

This Bank Holiday also sees the return of the Perseus and Andromeda fountain, after undergoing its yearly maintenance, the fountain will be up and running in time for the Easter break.

Admission prices are £6.00 for adults, £5.10 for concessions, £3.00 for children and £15.00 for a family ticket (two adults and up to three children). English Heritage members get in free. The event runs from 10am - 5pm.

Sunday, April 4 & Monday, April 5 (bank holiday) - Medieval Knights - Kenilworth Castle & Elizabethan Garden

Richard III was the last English king to fall in battle, but was he hero or tyrant? Join us this Easter to find out, as the castle steps back into medieval times, and is brought to life with over 100 folk from the Middle Ages including dozens of medieval knights and soldiers. Enjoy spectacular arena shows and have-a-go drills for children. ( A Park & Ride service - "Johnson's shuttle bus", runs every 10-15 mins from 10am - 6pm from Kenilworth clock tower bus stop. Please park in the town centre car parks, charges may apply. Disabled parking available at the main castle car park.)

Tuesday, April 6 – Sunday, April 11 - Easter Family Fun Trail - Kenilworth Castle & Elizabethan Garden

Come and take part in our 'egg-citing' Easter trail. Can you find all the 'eggs-tra' special clues around the property? If you do, a yummy chocolate prize awaits.

Admission prices are £7.60 for adults, £6.50 for concessions, £3.80 for children and £19.00 for a family ticket (two adults and up to three children). English Heritage members get in free. The event runs from 10am - 5pm.
