Shakespeare sci-fi and rock ‘n’ roll at Norbury

ROCK and roll is joining forces with Shakespeare in Droitwich.
Norbury Youth Theatre, based at the town’s theatre, is stepping into the future with their forthcoming production Return To The Forbidden Planet.
Bob Carlton’s musical is based on 1950s sci-fi B-movie Forbidden Planet and William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, and mixes literary references with classic rock and roll music.
The show will be performed in November. This Sunday, the youth company is holding auditions – open to anyone aged between 13 and 21 – at Norbury Theatre from 10am.
