FARCE comes first for Evesham’s Phoenix Theatre Group.
The company is performing the energetic comedy First Things First, written by playwright and actor Derek Benfield, at the town’s arts centre tomorrow.
The play follows best friends Pete and George, whose lives become inextricably more complicated when Pete’s late wife comes back to life and her fearsome mother-in-law arrives in tow.
Phoenix Theatre Group started life in 1990 as a dedicated youth theatre group but soon expanded to include adults. Nowadays, the company stages Evesham’s biggest pantomime to a full house every year. Tickets, priced £6, are available from Evesham Almonry (01386 442348), Evesham Book Centre or online at eveshamboxoffice.co.uk.
