Sixties legends at music and motorbike show

ONE of the most influential groups to emerge from the 60s is going to be playing at a musical extravaganza event in Worcestershire.

The Searchers, known for their hits such as Needles And Pins and Sweets For My Sweet, will be headlining at the Three Counties Showground on Saturday, August 23.

The Motorbikes and Music Extravaganza which runs from Friday, August 22, until the Sunday, will also include a local band night and The Who tribute band My Generation.

Each will be held at the Severn Hall at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, with gates opening at 6.30pm and the concerts beginning at 8pm.

On Sunday, August 24, the Acu pre-1975 2008 British Championship motorcycle grass track racing will be held at Dunstall Common in Earls Croome. Watch as 250cc, 350cc and 500cc bikes race around a field, with championship classes for machines built before 1975, and support classes for solo machines built since 1975 with upright engines plus modern 500cc sidecars.

Tickets for the Searchers cost £16.50 each and a licensed bar, refreshments and camping facilities are also available.

For the tribute act, tickets cost £12.50 each and for the Sunday’s motorbike event, tickets cost £7.50.
