A DIVERSE range of melodies are ringing out across Hereford.
Live @ The Imperial is the new monthly night from Hereford-based promoters Umbrella Factory and on Thursday, August 28, three very different acts will take to the stage.
Electronic-acousitc singer songwriter Ellie Goulding will be joined by experimental jazz folk group Cold Shot Trio and rock band Held by the Code.
From Lyonshall in Herefordshire, Goulding is described as “a phenomenal emerging singer-songwriter with a voice that places her between Suzanne Vega and Edie Brickell”.
“I was blown away when I first heard her songs,” said Umbrella Factory’s Ally Hardy.
“She’s so good it’s hard to believe she’s local. She has to be seen.”
Cold Shot Trio hail from Hereford and perform their own material, written by a drummer influenced by Deep Purple, a funk-loving bassist and blues guitarist.
Last but not least, Held By The Code are a classic rock band who play covers alongside their own tracks. The members hail from Ledbury, Gloucester and Worcester and they recently finished recording their new album The Imperial pub is in Widemarsh Street, Hereford, and doors open at 8pm. Entry is £5.
