WORCESTER’S annual Dylan night is as popular with local bands as it is with music fans.

The now legendary night, taking place at the Marr’s Bar on Sunday, January 17, is a chance for Worcestershire-based musicans to perform their own renditions of Bob Dylan tracks, mixing the popular hits with lesser known gems.

This year, while the man himself continues to attract praise and confusion in equal measure - mainly thanks to the obscure Christmas in the Heart album, The Royal Alberts, Mickey The Hat, John Denton, Johnny and the Cinquentas, Poor Bob Jones and Wes Dance will take to the Marr’s Bar stage.

While not strictly local Mickey the Hat, who hail from North Wales, met with The Royal Alberts last year through dylanradio.com where they were fellow contestants in Battle of the Dylan Bands.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets, priced £5, are available from Music City in The Tything as well as on the door.
