Look out, Australia, here comes Myro!
THE world’s smallest aeroplane lands Down Under for the first in a series of bewitching adventures.
After a long journey from Britain by sea and road, Mylo is itching to unfurl his wings and explore his new outback home.
There are friends to meet, strange animals to see and livestock to muster on a farm.
Wonderful 3D illustrations in the style of animated TV children’s stories help bring the little plane’s exploits to life.
The text rattles along at a brisk pace, and author Nick Rose revels in the sort of subjects (such as cow poo) that make children dissolve into fits of giggles.
There are some nice touches at the back of the book: a guide to the phonetic alphabet, a Myro diagram and a map of his travels.
Strewth, there’s even an accompanying audio CD of Myro songs and a website where you can enjoy Myro games and buy Myro goodies. It’s bonza!
