Saving the bacon is about two young girls, Evie and Lola, who want to turn vegetarian, save Samson the pig from being Christmas dinner and help everyone else do the same.
Evie and Lola’s friend and Samson’s owner (Meltonio) feeds Samson in a respectable way. It might take a while before he listens to Evie and Lola and decides not to eat Samson.
I really enjoyed this book mainly because I like pigs but it was a really active book as well. I think this book is for 9-12 years old.
