A POP rock duo are back on the road and making their way to the Regal in Evesham.

Chas & Dave first began writing and performing songs together in 1972, and this year they are back on the road celebrating their years together.

Pianist, Chas Hodges, said: “Dave and I are so looking forward to playing the Regal, Evesham in July. Funnily enough my local cinema was the Regal, Edmonton where I saw Jerry Lee Lewis in 1958 and I decided to learn the piano.”

The pair are known for their two most successful singles, 1980’s ‘Rabbit’ from their third album, ‘Don’t Give A Monkey’s’ and the more reflective ballad ‘Ain’t No Pleasing You’ two years later.

Their latest album, 'That's What Happens', entered the charts at number 25 and also featured special guest stars such as Jools Holland, Hugh Laurie and Buddy Holly’s drummer, Jerry Allison.

Laurence Wiper, live events manager at the Regal, said: “Chas and Dave are great musicians and know how to give an audience a good time. They have gained a cult audience, both young and old, and we can’t wait to see everyone at The Regal having a great time with the ‘rockney’ duo.”

Tickets are available from £27.50 and can be purchased via The Regal’s website at www.theregal.ac or by calling the box office on 01386 421007.
