QUILL are enjoying another exciting year, and an audience at the Artrix in Bromsgrove is about to find out why.

Bev Bevan, of ELO, The Move and Black Sabbath fame, reckons that "Joy Strachan-Brain is the best female singer to come out of the Midlands".

And Bev must mean it, because he's sometimes been on the drums for Quill, although he won't be for the gig on Saturday, August 13.

A spokesman said: "Following the success of their show last year, this Celtic, folk, rock band return to Artrix.

"Performing songs old and new including tracks from their current album, Brush with the Moon, Quill will take you on an exciting and emotional journey with the artistry of guitar, violin and wonderful vocals."
