DON'T expect a reunion of The Smiths at a concert in Worcester, but it will involve The Smiths Indeed.

But please be careful where you stick that daffodil.

Tribute act, The Smiths Indeed, will indeed perform the songs of The Smiths and Morrissey, who famously used to dance on stage with a flower or two tucked into his trousers.

A spokesman for the show said: "We offering a fantastic night of nostalgia for those who remember those distant days in the mid-1980s when The Smiths lit up the world of popular music".

The spokesman added: "For those who weren't even born then or were otherwise engaged, they offer a great opportunity to witness what it might have been like to see The Smiths live.

"After all, a Smiths Indeed show is meant to be a celebration of The Smiths."

The Smiths formed in 1982, comprising Johnny Marr, Steven Morrissey, Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce. Together they released 17 UK singles and 4 studio albums, becoming one of the most influential bands of the 1980s.

In 2014, NME named The Queen Is Dead (1986) the “greatest album of all time”.

Since forming in Liverpool in 2005, The Smiths Indeed have toured extensively around the UK, USA and Europe, playing to full capacity audiences of Smiths fans old and new.

The spokesman added: "The band consists of Smiths devotees and outstanding musicians, but their trump card is a singer with uncannily similar vocal chords to Morrissey's. In a relatively short space of time, The Smiths Indeed have emerged as a fantastic live act, aiming to capture the essence of a mid-1980s Smiths concert."
