BERLIOZ called one of his most celebrated works, Symphonie Fantastique, so it must be good.
A local audience can make up its own minds with a performance by the Worcestershire Symphony Orchestra at St Martin's Church, London Road, Worcester.
The guest soloist will be Martin Cropper – son of Peter, founder of the Lindsay Quartet, for Sibelius' Violin Concerto.
The programme will be completed by Debussy's evocative Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un Faune, and the conductor will be Keith Slade.
The concert will take place on Saturday, May 13, from 7.30pm.
