PEOPLE can can take part in a major survey to discover what arts and cultures means to people in Worcestershire

The 24 Hour Culture Survey is set to take place from 12pm on Friday, October 24 to 12pm the following day to discover how people experience arts and culture in their everyday lives.

People will be asked what cultural activities they have taken part in during the 24 hour period and will fill in the short questionnaire at 24hourculture.co.uk.

Actress Meera Syal MBE said: "“If you plan to read a book, play an instrument, take a dance class, watch a film, laugh at something on Youtube or take your kids to the theatre over the course of the day, just tell the survey.

"It'll help us all shout about the value of the arts.”

Dancefest and University of Worcester are part of the 22 arts organisations from the West Midlands who have commissioned the survey.

Findings from the 24 Hour Culture Survey will be analysed by experts at the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Audience Insight team, and will be released before the end of 2014.
