THERE are some strange animal antics going on at an exhibition which intertwines colourful paintings and humour.

Brightly coloured and eye-catching, Sam Fenner's Quirky Animal Series will put a smile on people's faces as a whole range of animals are painted in an eccentric style.

She studied general art and design at Hereford Art College, life drawing at Worcester School of Art and Design and art history to degree level.

Working from her Worcestershire studio, she is well known and highly regarded for her quirky animal portraits.

She was awarded Artist of the Year 2014 during a major competition held by ArtGallery.co.uk to recognise the very best artistic talent.

The exhibition at Pershore Number 8 opens on Thursday, October 16 and will run until Wednesday, November 5.

Admission is free.

The gallery is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm and 1 hour before evening and weekend performances.
