POETS looking to learn performance technique can join in a pilot event run by Worcestershire LitFest and Fringe on Saturday at The Hive.
Established poet Heidi Murphy will be taking the Words in Motion poetry workshops with each session lasting an hour.
They will cover the basics of transforming words into poetry.
• 12.10pm Poetry 101 is an introduction to poetry for absolute beginners.
• 1.20pm Spoken Word for those who write poetry, but are cautious about performing it.
• 2.30pm Poetry and Agenda looks at how poetry is used in marketing.
• 3.40pm Prose to Poetry workshop will teach the different structures and skills that can be used to turn prose into poetry. Poets should bring a sample of their writing to share with the group.
