OVER fifty members of Pershore Operatic and Dramatic Society (PODS) dressed in glamorous costumes - and a few Christmas jumpers - will fill the stage at Number 8.
There will be festive cheer aplenty at the theatre as PODS stage A Christmas Celebration from Monday, December 8 to Saturday, December 13.
The show is packed with songs, dance and comedy including a stirring rendition of Frozen’s Let it Go, a “potted panto”, Noel Coward classics and comedy sketches.
There will also be a spot of poetry, Christmas Carols and opportunities for audience participation in a Wassail section.
Performing twice a year at Number 8, PODS has a long history of successful shows, with last year’s panto Robin Hood winning a prestigious NODA prize. Celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, the society have welcomed back past members to join the current crop on stage at for a sparkling show.
The Saturday evening performance will be a gala show with mulled wine and party attire all around.
A Christmas Celebration will be performed at 7.30pm with a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday.
