THE Old Vic’s performance of The Crucible will be screened at Pershore Number 8 Community Arts Centre.
Richard Armitage, who appears in The Hobbit trilogy as Thorin Oakenshield, stars in Arthur Miller’s classic American drama based on Salem’s infamous witch trials.
It has been brought vividly to life in a visceral new production by internationally acclaimed director Yaël Farber.
The Crucible tells the story of a small tight-knit community in Salem, Massachusetts, whose personal grievances collide with lust and superstition, fuelling widespread hysteria.
Miller’s timeless parable attacks the evils of mindless persecution and the terrifying power of false accusations.
The Crucible was captured live at The Old Vic, London during its 2014 season.
It will be screened on Sunday, December 14 at 3pm and Friday, December 19 at 7pm
Tickets cost £14 and are available online at number8.org or by calling 01386 555488.
