SCREENINGS from the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre are among the theatrical highlights at Artrix in February.

John is the latest National Theatre production by the internationally renowned DV8 Physical Theatre.

Lloyd Newson, DV8’s Artistic Director, interviewed more than 50 men before he found John.

What emerged is a story both extraordinary and touching.

Years of crime, drug use and struggling to survive lead John on a search in which his life converges with others, in an unexpected place, unknown by most.

Love’s Labour’s Lost showcases Shakespeare’s sparkling comedy writing at its best.

He champions love and then unravels an unrealistic vow, mischievously suggesting that the study of the opposite sex is in fact the highest of all academic endeavours.

John (NT Live Encore) is screening on Sunday, February 1 at 8pm and tickets cost £15 (£12 students).

RSC Live presents Love’s Labour’s Lost on Wednesday, February 11 at 7pm and tickets cost £14 (£12 students and under 16s).

Both are available on 01527 577330 or at artrix.co.uk.
