FALL in love with a musical which is going on a mini tour in Worcestershire and beyond with a cast of talented young actors.

Starbuck Theatre Company, based in Droitwich, will be performing I Love You Because, a modern day musical.

I Love You Because is a musical comedy which has been "lovingly ripped" from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

The small cast musical comedy follows the lives of four people in modern day New York City as they try not to fall in love with each other.

This is one of the first times it has been performed in the country and it is the first mini tour in the Midlands.

Sarah Pavlovs, who set up the theatre company, said she wanted to bring the musical to a wider audience.

"I was introduced to this musical last year and immediately fell in love with it.

"I researched it and realized it has barely been done in the UK and never as a mini tour in the Midland's and so thought by putting on this beautiful and funny musical comedy I could introduce this musical to a whole new audience.

"My youth company for instance immediately thought of a musical having to be for a large cast - there's only six in this.

"It was first performed off Broadway in 2006.

"I have been very lucky to be in direct contact with Ryan Cunningham, the shows lyricist, who has been very supportive of our company, giving advice about his writing process and how characters were originally created."

The company itself have been working collaboratively together as a working theatre company.

Dean Bayliss, who plays the role of Austin, has also designed all the programmes, flyers and posters and all the projections in the musical.

And the whole company has watched each others' scenes giving advice.

The company has hired in a professional MD, Ian Stephenson, and will have a professional band on the nights.

It will be coming to Nunnery Wood School Studio theatre, Spetchley Road, Worcester on Saturday, February 28 and Malvern Coach House Theatre, Theatre House, Grange Road, Malvern, on Saturday, April 18.

It will also be performed on Saturday, May 9 at Ruddock Performing Arts Centre, King Edward's School Studio Theatre, Edgbaston Park Road, Birmingham.

Shows start at 7.30pm.
