YOUNG talented dancers from Worcestershire will be joining other emerging dance artists for a three-date tour.

Dancefest's Circuit youth dance tour will run from Tuesday, March 17 until Friday, March 20 performing a programme that is brimming with high quality new dance.

The tour includes work by talented young dancers and choreographers and will feature 200 young people representing dance companies, community groups and schools.

They will be performing a variety of dance genres including contemporary, creative and urban dance styles.

Clare Wood, Dancefest's youth dance coordinator said: “Circuit began in Herefordshire several years ago with the aim of providing performance opportunities for young dancers in settings which would be easily accessible to other youngsters interested in dance as well as to a wider audience.

“This year we're really excited to be touring performances across both counties.

"We've also developed the tour to include work from young choreographers, giving youth dancers the opportunity to develop new work and be part of a mentoring programme to gain skills in choreography and directing.”

The performance in Worcester will take place at Bishop Perowne CofE Performing Arts College on Friday, March 20 at 7.30pm.

It will include dancers from Unfold from the Black Country, Jo Martin Youth Dance from Honeybourne, Dancefest's Urban Boys, Translucent Dance Company and Wire and Elevate youth dance companies.

There will also be a performance on Tuesday, March 17 from 7pm at Whitecross High School, Hereford and Wednesday, March 18 from 7pm at Hereford College of Arts.

Tickets for all shows cost £5/£3.50 and are available from The Courtyard’s box office on 01432 340555 or courtyard.org.uk.
