LIVERPUDLIAN comedian, actor and best-selling author Alexei Sayle will be coming to Huntingdon Hall on Thursday, April 16.

Listen With Alexei will see the 62-year-old giving a preview of the second volume of his hilarious and thought-provoking memoirs, Thatcher Stole My Trousers.

Alexei will also be reading from his hugely acclaimed first volume Stalin Ate My Homework along with some of his famous short stories.

There will be a chance at the end of the show to have any burning questions answered.

Playing a crucial part in the 1980s alternative comedy scene, Alexei was ranked 17th in Channel 4’s list of the 100 Greatest Stand Ups.

Stand up wasn’t his only skill.

He has had many television credits as a writer and performer including The Young Ones, the Emmy award-winning Alexei Sayle's Stuff, and The All New Alexei Sayle Show. As an actor, Sayle has appeared in a number films, from Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade to Gorky Park.

Showcasing his knack for writing, Alexei has been a columnist for the Daily Telegraph since 2012.

He has also written regularly for the Observer, Independent, Time Out, Car Magazine and Esquire.
