REDDITCH-based Harlequins Drama Group is having a cracking time rehearsing for its next major production Honk.

The musical comedy is based on the tale of the Ugly Duckling and follows the struggle of Ugly as he tries to ward off the cat and many prejudices that stand in his way.

Honk is full of comical numbers, toe-tapping routines and a story filled with laughter as well as leaving the audience with a tear in their eye at the end of act one.

The production spreads the message that it is okay to be different and that you should hold your head up high and be proud of who you are.

Featuring over 40 local children aged four to 19, they will be performing alongside a professional orchestra, stunning scenery and spectacular costumes and special effects.

Honk runs from Thursday, June 11 to Saturday, June 13 at The Palace Theatre, Redditch.

Tickets are £12 and are available on 01527 65203.
