MUSIC from The The, The Housemartins and Stiff Little Fingers will feature in a play focusing on social inequalities.

The classic radical book The Ragged Trousered Philantrposists was the basis for John Bassets' play Nothing Changes coming to Worcester Arts Workshop on Friday, May 1.

The play, from Spaniel in the Works, focuses on the inequalities which still exist in society 100 years after Tressell's book was published.

It tells the story of a group of painters and other trades along with their families trying to survive issues about working classes and the disenfranchised.

It offers debate around work, trades, surviving in an unfair system and the need for true Socialism.

Nothing Changes brings the book into the 21st Century where the need for living wage, immigration, press influence and the lack of understanding from those in power towards those with no power are still major issues.

The show is suitable for children over ten years old.

The play starts at 7.30pm with tickets, costing £10 adults and £7 concessions, available from Cafe Bliss on 01905 25053.
