Budding ballerinas and ballerinos can take their first steps along the road to success at a new dance academy that's starting this month.

JUMP Dance Academy for ballet, tap and modern dancing will be based at Abbots Morton village hall between Inkberrow and Evesham and will cater for girls and boys aged 3 and upwards.

Principal, Helena Mitchell, from Callow Hill in Redditch, is a trained dancer and qualified teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.

She said: "Our aim is to inspire a love of dance in children of all ages through classes that are fun and friendly.

"It's an exciting new venture and I'm sure we'll have some talented youngsters.

"There are opportunities to learn ballet, tap and modern dance and although we're initially aiming for three to 11 year olds we can always arrange classes for any age group."

JUMP Dance Academy's classes will be held every Wednesday afternoon after school from April 29 at Abbots Morton Village Hall near Inkberrow.
