THERE will be an evening of funny business at Rushwick Village Hall with the latest evening organised by the village's drama group.

The members of Rushwick Drama Group has been busy putting together Puns N Stuff, an evening of entertainment on for three nights.

It is the first production put on by the group since the death of its founder Ann Moore in October.

Founded in 2003, a group of people interested in forming a drama group got together and with the help of Ann Moore launched Rushwick Amateur Drama Addicts (RADA).

Since its first performance in February 2004 of Cavalcade, the group has gone on to perform 19 productions.

The audience will enjoy silly sketches, funny poems and the one-act play As Good As New by David Perry.

The macabre comedy is set in the suburban home of the Pimbles who live in the shadow of imminent catastrophe. While Grandpa toils in the cellar on his corpses, the normal life of the family goes on from one fatality to the next. The imperturbable Mrs Pimbles firm maternal management of affairs is one of the things that remain strong in this grotesque family situation.

A raffle will be held in aid of St Richard's Hospice and people can bring their own drinks and nibbles.

Puns N Stuff will be held on Friday, June 19, Saturday, June 20 and Monday, June 22 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £5 and are available by calling 01905 423440 or on the door.
