AFTER embarking on a national tour a story about the lives of wartime nurses returns home to Worcester.

Vamos Theatre, the Worcester-based leading full mask theatre company, will be bringing Nursing Lives to The Swan Theatre on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6.

Performed entirely in full mask, Nursing Live is a love story set in the early 1980s of Thatcher’s Britain and the hard-working, heart-breaking, swing-dancing world of the UK’s wartime hospitals.

When Flo, a feisty seventy-something, learns that the hospital she trained at during the Second World War is being demolished, she decides to take one last look – and stop the bulldozers in their tracks.

Her illicit visit becomes a personal celebration of friendship, courage, adventure and romance.

Nursing Lives is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and by Worcestershire County Council.

It is suitable for ages 12 and over.

Tickets cost £14 and are available by calling 01905 611427 or online at theswantheatre.co.uk.
