THERE is the chance to peek behind the scenes of the Swan Theatre and join in with exciting activities to celebrate its 50th year.
The theatre on Moor Street will be opening its doors on Saturday, May 30 for an action-packed day of tours, activities and workshops.
People can join in a whole host of activities to celebrate the anniversary year including children's theatre, stage combat and circus skills workshops.
Back stage tours will take people behind the scenes of the theatre while children can join in with the youth theatre taster sessions and dance taster sessions.
There will also be a chance for people to take a look at a special 50 Years Of The Swan Theatre exhibition with much more going on throughout the day.
The programme of events are:
* 10.15am to 11am - Dancer taster session (6-11 year olds) - Bransford Trust Studio
* 10.30am - Meet the Mayor of Worcester
* 10.30am to 11.15am - Children’s theatre show - Main House
* 11.45am to 12.30pm - Circus Skills Workshop - Main House
* 1pm to 2pm - Backstage tour – Meet by the box office
* 1pm to 2pm - Youth theatre taster session (9-12 year olds) - Bransford Trust Studio
* 2.30pm to 3.15pm - Combat session – Main House
