MAGIC, action, love and humour will come to life when one of Shakespeare's most spellbinding tales is performed at Coach House Theatre.

The universal theme of love and all of its complications runs through A Midsummer Night's Dream being presented by Malvern Theatre Players from Monday, June 22 to Saturday, June 27.

Focusing on three parallel stories, two sets of lovers are camping in a magical wood, home to the Fairy King and Queen, and a group of craftsmen attempting to stage a production of Pyramus and Thisby for the wedding of the Duke of Athens.

Confusion is created among the young lovers when Puck mischievously interferes.

Meanwhile, while the group of amateur actors rehears a badly written play in the woods and soom find their lives changed by the doings of Oberon and Titania, the warring King and Queen fairies.

A Midsummer Night's Dream is performed by the resident company of the Coach House Theatre in a representation of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre as the opening production of a two month season of activities based on the Elizabethan stage form.

Performances are at 7.30pm as well as a 2.30pm on Saturday, June 27.
