FLORIAN Zeller's award-winning black comedy uses the nature of theatre to convey the disorientation of dementia.

The Father stars Kenneth Cranham as the man losing his grip on reality.

Kenneth, Rebecca Charles, Colin Tierney and Jade Williams reprise their original roles following a hugely successful, critically acclaimed run last year at the Ustinov Studio in Bath.

They are joined by new cast members Claire Skinner and Jim Sturgeon.

Now 80 years old, Andre was once a tap dancer.

He lives with his daughter Anne and her husband Antoine.

Or was he an engineer whose daughter Anne lives in London with her new lover, Pierre?

The thing is, he is still wearing his pyjamas, and he can’t find his watch.

He is starting to wonder if he’s losing control.

The Father will be appearing at Malvern Theatres from Tuesday, June 16 to Saturday, June 20.

Tickets are on sale at the box office 01684 892277 and online at malvern-theatres.co.uk.
