A BRIEF journey through colour and its effects will be discussed by landscape photographer David Ward.

As a photographer who spends most of his time working in the landscape, David is acutely aware of the importance of colour.

His presentation will include a brief journey through colour, showing some of its wonders and uncovering many of its secrets.

David will look at how our perception of colour is influenced by our biology, how colour affects us emotionally, and will touch upon subjects such as the influence of language, culture and personal experience on how we view colour. The many aspects of photography will be looked at including balancing hues within a composition, working with colour contrasts and exploring subtler variations of the colour of light.

He will show many of his stunning images in what will be a fascinating and stimulating evening for photographers and non-photographers alike, and especially all with an appreciation of the beauty of our natural world.

David will be appearing at Swan Theatre, Worcester, on Friday, June 19 at 7.30pm.

Tickets, costing £15, are available by calling 01905 611427.
