THE Courtyard Family Saturdays will be a feature of New Year entertainment at the popular Hereford arts venue.

A Courtyard spokesman said: "January is guaranteed to have something for everyone, whether it’s film, workshops or performances.

A spokesman said: "On Saturday January 16, join a fun creative workshop to make a turtle puppet and create a show. The week after, on Saturday January 23, Lempen Puppet Theatre Company will present Journey of Turtle, a beautiful story about following dreams, told with shadows, table-top puppets and traditional storytelling. As well as this, children will be able to take part in our Turtle Trail and find hidden turtles around the building."

The spokesman added: "On Saturday January 30, the hilarious Ghosthunters (PG) will be screened, following the adventures of Tom, Hetty and Hugo, a bright green, clumsy, slimy, blob. Before the screening there will be a film making workshop from 10.30am."

David Durant, Associate Director at The Courtyard, said, “We want families to know that there is always something to do on a Saturday morning at The Courtyard. It is affordable entertainment for the little ones.

"January is full of great events, from puppets to ghosts. Keep an eye out on the website for more updates of upcoming activities as part of Courtyard Family Saturdays.”

All activities will start at 10.30am.
