YOUNG performers at the Harlequin Stage School enjoyed a surprise visit by a fellow panto performer, Buttercup the Cow.

Buttercup proved to be a very popular bovine at the Perdiswell Young People's Leisure Club, where she met pupils from the stage school who are also taking part in this years Kays Panto, Little Bo Peep, at the Swan in Worcester.

A panto spokesman said: "Little Bo Peep is set around the traditional nursery rhyme with all the features of a good old British panto."

Barry North, who this year is cast as Mefisto the Magician, really enjoys being part of the Kays’ team.

He said “I’m delighted to be performing again at The Swan, with a few magic tricks and spells. "The show also features the talents of Dance World cup gold medallists from the Harlequin Stage School."

Directed this year by Ann Mayor and Sue Sanderson, Kays Theatre Group’s production of Little Bo Peep opened at The Swan Theatre on Thursday, January 21 and will run until January 31.

Tickets are available on 01905 425299 or 08453 883783 or through the website www.kaystheatregroup.co.uk, where further information and details of the performance dates and times are available.
