PANTO fun will be "astronomically extravagant" at Bromyard's Conquest Theatre next month, but that's only down to the astral theme and not the ticket price.

At a venue not far, far away from anyone in the Three Counties, the battle cry will be, May the Farce be With You, and a tale of goodies and baddies and evil plans from the dark side will entertain local audiences from February 12 to February 20.

A spokesman said: "The Lord of the Dark Side plans Galactic Domination. To thwart his evil plans, heroic space-warrior Luke Warmwater sets off on an inter-galactic mission to the other side of the universe. Oh, yes he does!

"It’s panto, Jim, but not as we know it, with a delightful galaxy of characters, including robots, Super Troopers, and two love-interest couples who blast off to float weightlessly through a madcap plot based, very loosely, on Jack and the Beanstalk.

The spokesman added: "Thrusting a flight-path via Planet Zog, a Giant’s house and the Dame’s garden, the cast defy gravity across a crowded orbit of satellites and spaceships as they rocket a trajectory through a jet-propelled show with a starry ending. Set phasers to ‘fun’, becuause it's out of this world."

The show is written by Andrew Yates and directed by Janet Hugman. Tickets on the Conquest Theatre’s website www.conquest-theatre.co.uk , by telephone on 01885 488575 or at the Box Office.
