THIS February staff from Hereford College of Arts are staging their second annual group exhibition at the home of college's university-level students, College Road Campus.

A spokesman said: "The dedicated arts college boasts a large number of talented artists among its staff, bringing their wide expertise to students from across the college and university-level courses.

"From library staff to academic staff, from paintings, photography and installations to jewellery, prints and sculpture, a number of the College’s artists and makers will be sharing their work at a dedicated exhibition that runs until Thursday, March 3."

The spokesman added: "The exhibition covers a large selection of media, and gives students and members of the public an opportunity to see what their tutors and college staff make in their own artistic practices away from college."

One of the exhibitors, Rebecca Farkas said: "

“There’s a great culture here at HCA that encourages and nurtures staff and students with their creative practices.

"Being taught or working alongside an artist or maker doesn’t just mean you can benefit from their guidance with your work; they are able to offer advice on costings and budgeting, marketing and networking and so on.

"We are looking forward to showing our work.”

Among the artists exhibiting alongside Rebecca are Kate Selene, BA (Hons) Contemporary Design Crafts Course Leader, who is curating the exhibition; Alex Thimm, BA (Hons) Photography Course Leader; Emily Nicholls, a graduate of the Photography course who now works as a Student Union Campaigns Officer and Martin Cameron, a librarian at the College.
