JOIN the internationally acclaimed BBC Big Band and conductor Barry Forgie for a celebration of the Great Swing Bands in Malvern.

The programme will including music by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Artie Shaw, Tommy Dorsey and Benny Goodman and their contemporaries, "plus a sparkling selection vocal numbers made famous by some the great swing singers of the era, sung by special guest vocalist, Jeff Hooper".

A spokesman said: "Enjoy the music that made them stars, such as ‘One O’Clock Jump’, ‘Take the ‘A’ Train’, ‘Begin the Beguine’, ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’ and ‘Opus One’, alongside classic numbers made famous by the great swing vocalists, including Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme and Bobby Darin.

"This is an unmissable evening of feel-good music, celebrating the 20th Century’s ‘Swing Legends."
