LOCAL artists and photographers are being invited to submit work for an annual exhibition, to be held at Bromsgrove's Artrix venue, this summer.

Submissions, "which should be in a contemporary style", will be considered for the annual Summer Exhibition, which will take place this year between July 11 and August 15.

A spokesman said: "This is the third year of the Summer Exhibition which saw over 100 submissions last year and exhibited over 40 artists’ work.

"The exhibition will be curated by a team of young curators from local schools and colleges. Three dimensional work and crafts will be considered according to the limitations of display space at the venue."

Artrix Exhibitions Co-Ordinator, TC Peppercorn said: "We were thrilled that last year’s Summer Exhibition was such a success and delighted that we can once again offer an opportunity to the many artists who produce more unusual work that may not find an audience in more traditional galleries in the district."

To have your work considered by Artrix, artists should email a photo of their work, or works, along with the entry form, which is available from Artrix.

Final decisions will be made by Friday May 6.
