PEOPLE who think the menopause is no laughing matter, and nothing to sing about either, should get themselves along to Malvern Theatres and think again.

Menopause the Musical is coming your way, on May 26, from 7.30pm.

The show is described as "the hilarious celebration of women and the change".

A spokesman said: "The hysterically funny and uplifting 'Menopause the Musical' is packed full of sharp one-liners about memory loss and hot flushes and backed by an instantly recognisable soundtrack of comic parodies of pop classics.

"This all-singing, all-dancing comedy is set in a department store where four women with apparently nothing in common meet, by chance, at a lingerie sale."

"The all-female cast of Cheryl Fergison (EastEnders), Linda Nolan (The Nolans) and Rebecca Wheatley (Casualty) make fun of their lives as they go through ‘The Change’."

The spokesman added: "The women bond as they realise that the menopause is no longer “The Silent Passage”, it’s an unavoidable stage in every woman’s life."

It can also lead to a craving for chocolate, and this also a matter for discussion.
