ED Aczel, once labelled by the Guardian as “Britain’s greatest living anti-comedian”, is worried about becoming too paranoid; but are those pesky butterflies to blame?

Audiences at Redditch's Palace Theatre will learn the answer, perhaps, on Saturday June 18, from 7.45pm, when Ed will ponder the meaning of life and everything in a show called "The Random Flapping of the Butterfly's Wing".

In Chaos Theory there is an idea that the simple flapping of a butterfly's wing could cause a chain reaction which could lead, eventually, to a hurricane forming somewhere, - hopefully not in Worcestershire.

If so, those garden insects have quite a lot to answer for, but no-one's quite figured yet how to sue them.

Such thoughts are puzzling to Ed, as he take to a nationwide stand-up tour as he tries once again "to nail down the nature of existence".

A spokesman said: "Aczel is known for not following the rules of stand-up comedy and he aims to use his show, with help of the Chaos Theory, to change the world once and for all – although it may turn out to be too complicated. "He asks whether you can have your cake and eat it, by seeking to change human consciousness forever while also keeping your weekends free."

The spokesman added: "Ed includes a couple of amusingly circular stories about his life, which thankfully don’t last long. He explores his own inner psyche with a section analysing his dreams, and then tries not to get too paranoid in the process."
