A TALE of sweetness in a time of war is coming to Malvern's Cube.
The Malvern-based theatre company Reaction Theatre Makers will bring "Honey" to the Cube as part of their UK tour, on July 18.
A spokesman said: "This new play was written by Tiffany Hosking of Barnards Green, Malvern.
"It is an original piece of theatre with an architectural set of three bee hives that transform to tell the story. With a beautiful backdrop of live and recorded folk music we paint a landscape of the hills and those that live within them."
The plot weaves together the lives of an a tattoo artist, a boy with autism, his mother, her husband away at war, "and those that want to love them".
The spokesman added: "This is not a story of war, but of community and of all those communities that are breaking down.
"Woven throughout is a quilt. It is stitched with hopes and dreams, pieced together throughout the performance. It is made as a gift for the boy with autism who loves to dance."
The spokesman added that an original musical score by Joanna Karselis will make an audience "taste the honey, feel the richness of the hills and hear the music that fills this land".
