COLWALL Village Hall is set to look blooming lovely next week, thanks to the 73rd Annual Summer Show of the Wyche and Colwall Horticultural Society.

From 8.30am on the day, August 6, competitors from the village and further afield will be streaming into Colwall Village Hall with their exhibits.

There will be potted plants, single stems, floral arrangements, potatoes, peas and cucumbers.

A spokesman said: "In all, there will be fifty four classes for flowers and vegetables.

"Additionally there are classes for Floral Art, Handicraft and Photography; all closely related to the season and gardens, flowers or vegetables."

There are 16 trophies up for competition and also cash prises for winners in each category. All the junior class entrants receive a small prize.

The Banksian Medal of the RHS goes to the exhibitor winning the largest total amount of prize money in the flower and vegetable categories.
