THE Artrix in Bromsgrove will play host this autumn to an exhibition by a groundbreaking organisation which works in the field of mental health issues.

The Art of Conversation is Art in Minds Foundations’ annual exhibition to mark World Mental Health Day which falls on October 10.

A spokesman said: "Art in Minds works with adults in the community with experience of mental ill-health. "Members work in many different media and a variety of styles. They are guided by tutors and art therapists to explore different themes and techniques. By creating opportunities to exhibit members’ artwork, sharing new creative skills and keeping members and volunteers actively engaged in the local community, the charity helps foster their personal and professional creative interests."

Claire Hilton from Art in Minds Foundation added:“We are really looking forward to being able to show our work in the fantastic exhibition space at Artrix. As a charity based in Worcester City we often have exhibitions in our more local area and it’s really exciting to be building new relationships and bringing our work to a new audience further afield.

"With just under 200 members from all over Worcestershire it is fitting to be in such a prominent venue in the county, to help to raise awareness of not only what we do, but about mental health as a whole. Let’s start a conversation about this.”

The Art of Conversation exhibition will be on display at Artrix Gallery from September 28 to October 23.
