THE question, "Who Killed Santa Claus?" will soon be heard at Malvern Theatres, which should be music to the ears of every modern day Scrooge.

But the plot doesn't involve anyone taking pot-shots at the moving sleigh and straining reindeer; instead it is concerned with a mysterious death threat made to a famous TV star.

A spokesman said: "Barbara Love is a famous star who, just before her Christmas party, is threatened by a chilling voice on her answering machine and then receives a macabre present boxed in a miniature coffin.

"This is not so much a 'whodunnit' but more a 'who's going to do it', as along troop the staff of her television show for the Christmas buffet, each one of them with a motive to murder her. The tension mounts as this cunningly plotted thriller twists and turns towards the final spine-tingling revelation."

The cast includes Kim Tiddy, from The Bill and Hollyoaks, Gary Turner, from Emmerdale, Freya Copeland, also from Emmerdale and David Callister, from The Bill.

Who Killed Santa Claus? will be appearing at Malvern Theatres from Tuesday November 29 to Saturday December 3.
