IT'S no fairy tale that the Story Pocket Theatre will be coming to the Artrix Theatre in Bromsgrove, this February.

The company will be offering A Pocketful of Grimms, a show which will take a new look at some of the world's best known magical yarns.

A spokesman said: "Let the Storyteller take you to a land of fables and wonder to explore some of the best fairy tales ever told.

"Find yourself lost in a host of adventures that are weird, dark, funny and fantastical."

The spokesman added: "This is an exciting new look at some of the Grimm Brothers' favourite tales, including Rumpelstiltskin, the Golden Goose, Cat and Mouse in Partnership and the original version of Beauty and the Beast.

"These tales come to life in a high-energy mix of clowning, physical theatre, puppetry, music and much more."

The tales have been adapted by Adam Forde and are directed by Julia Black and Adam Forde, with original music by George Jennings

A spokesman for the Story Pocket Theatre said: "We are a theatre company devoted to bringing both classic and original children's stories to the stage in a magical, inventive and exciting way. Our productions are centred around the art of storytelling, creating a journey for our audience that we hope will inspire a love of stories and theatre."
