AN extravagant night of swing, blues and be-bop is promised when one of the pioneering creative forces in UK contemporary jazz comes to Malvern.
Young trumpeter and band leader Jay Phelps brings his new band, complete with special guest and award-winning jazz vocalist Clare Teal, to put a fresh twist on some iconic jazz landmarks at Malvern Theatres on Friday, April 13 from 7.30pm.
The 17-piece band will present some of the great jazz classics from legendary leaders Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Jimmy Lunceford, Dizzy Gillespie and Lionel Hampton.
